The ASKC

The Association of Scottish Kart Clubs is made up of the:

  • East of Scotland Kart Club
  • Grampian Kart Club
  • North of Scotland Kart Club

Each club has a nominated representative to attend the meetings to discuss matters relating to Scottish Karting. These representatives have the right to vote. The Secretary/Registrar, Treasurer and Super Series Co-ordinator being denied the right to vote.

The three clubs agree the annual race calendar and also the registration of Scottish drivers. All scottish drivers taking part ina competition promoted by a member club of the association will require to be registered with the association. All applications for registration shall be made by the drivers to the Registrar. Each applicant will be registered by the Registrar and the applicant's racing number will be notified direct to the driver.

It is only the Registrar that will issue a race number. The number shall be the racing number for the current season. All registrations shall expire on the last day of February each year, when applications must be renewed.

The ASKC annual trophies shall remain the property of the ASKC. Trophy holders shall be responsible for returning them in a clean condition to the Registrar when requested.

Notes
Drivers wishing to compete in the Scottish Open Challenge must be a registered member of an ASKC Club and be a registered driver with the ASKC. Drivers must also have raced at least once at one of the ASKC club circuits. The requirement for the four signatures has been dropped.
