Lewis will swap his multi-million pound McLaren to drive a modest family car for BBC2's Top Gear show on Sunday.
He is out to beat a time of 1 minute 44.4 seconds, set by "The Stig".

Lewis Hamilton had his driving licence suspended for a month after being caught speeding on a French motorway.

(was he attempting to catch the 'Stig'?)

"Some say"

He can smell corners.
His brain is a Satellite navigation system.
His politics are terrifying.
He urinates 98 RON petrol.
He has named every single blade of grass surrounding the Top Gear test track.

My 'bets' are on Ben Collins being the 'Stig', based on the fact that the Health & Safety Executive report into Richard Hammond's Vampire dragster crash in September 2006 records that Collins "worked closely with Top Gear as a high performance driver and consultant".

I'd put my money on Ben Collins, Russ Swift is good at chucking a car about, but he ain't no racing driver.

I've seen Ben Collins been mentioned in other places as a favorite and, as some of you may remember, Collins was featured in an episode a couple of years ago racing an Evo 7/8 down a hill against a guy on a skateboard thingy....... I reckon there was a balls-up in the filming and someone forgot the Stigs outfit, so the just used Collins as himself. Just my theory.

However, Perry McCarthy stated in his book that although he was usually the (old)Stig, sometimes other drivers would have to fill in for him if he was otherwise engaged. So therefore, you can only guess that although Collins may be the main man, there is more than likely to be others who have done it too.

But hey, what do I know!
