West of Scotland Kart Club has been invited to rejoin the Association of Scottish Kart Clubs. The WSKC committee consider that it would be in the interests of Scottish karting for our club to be members of the ASKC and help build a stronger Scottish championship. We have confirmed this to their representatives as follows:

Further to our committee meeting last night (12th January) we confirm that West of Scotland Kart Club do wish to rejoin the ASKC for 2010 and host one round of the four round Scottish Super Series.

We will require the Series to be run to the class regulations as detailed in the 2010 MSA Kart Race Yearbook. As regards the Honda Cadets our members need to have a separate class run for unsealed Honda engines (should there be 5 entrants or more to make up the class).

Our committee feels that 2010 will be as financially challenging as 2009, if not more so. To minimise our members’ costs and maximise entries we would ask that some consideration is given to having the SSS rounds running on the same dates planned for the NKRA events.

right...im lead to believe that there is the option to run sealed or unsealed engines...if there are enough of both they can have their own class.

so, how many sealed and unsealed have entered into the championship so far?

Gordy, apologies but I never saw your post and question. I just posted the message on behalf of WSKC so I cannot really help you. My involvement in karting these days is wholly limited to running this website and I don't really follow the day to day goings on in the sport.

Can someone from WSKC help?

Regards,

Donald
